Born in Bremen, raised in Tenerife, shaped by a British school, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, and eventually Berlin: for me, internationality has never been a backdrop, but a way of life. For three decades, Berlin was the ideal base for staying connected to the world, building networks from Europe to the Americas and Asia, and looking at economic, political, and social developments from different perspectives. At heart, I have always remained an islander, and today I have returned to my island. I value closeness to the water, wide horizons, and the freedom to look at things from above. As a passionate paraglider, I sometimes quite literally become a summit seeker.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Business expert<\/h3>\n

Numbers, responsibility, and entrepreneurial risk have always interested me. After studying business informatics and business administration, I worked as a management consultant and interim manager, later taking on roles across asset management, funds, business location development, supervisory bodies, university governance, associations, and SMEs. This experience shaped my view of business: good decisions require data, conviction, and the ability to implement. Today, I bring exactly that perspective to my work for fair pay. Because economic success does not emerge despite fairness, but through structures that bring innovation, sustainability, and people together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

FairPay<\/h3>\n
\n\t

For me, fair pay is more than the demand for equal pay. Fair pay is the question of whether companies can explain, justify, and govern their pay decisions in a transparent and sustainable way. As founder and managing director of the Fair Pay Innovation Lab<\/a><\/u>, I work to turn equal pay into verifiable practice: through analysis, measures, monitoring, and independent evaluation. With the Universal Fair Pay Check<\/a>, we certify companies around the world for fair pay. What matters is not only whether the numbers add up, but whether the criteria used are fair, explainable, and fit for governance. This is where fair pay becomes a leadership and future-readiness issue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Publicist<\/h3>\n
\n\t

I speak and write about money, power, fairness, and the language that makes change possible. As a speaker at conferences and panels, as a media guest, and as an author, I am especially interested in how social demands become concrete practice. In my book \u201c\u00dcber Geld spricht man<\/a>,\u201d I argued for finally talking openly about money. On my Substack<\/a>, I continue that conversation, writing about fair pay, governance, transparency, and the question of how companies can prove that their decisions are fair. I have a clear position and strong arguments, because both are needed to win people over and make change effective.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Campaigner<\/h3>\n
\n\t

Women and money belong together, and fair pay belongs in every organization. I prefer to leave political office to others, but not the commitment to a better world of work. As president of Business and Professional Women Germany, I campaigned from 2010 to 2016 for equal pay, networking, and visibility. In 2017, I institutionalized this commitment by founding the Fair Pay Innovation Lab<\/a>. Activism became structure, campaigning became governance, and equal pay became fair pay. Today, my focus is on making fair pay not only something to demand, but something that can be verified, explained, and made effective over time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
